Well Michael, if you have too many people asking you for install, you can always let us help you. :)

It is true that there will still be people who are stumbled at how to install WordPress.

No we are not offering a discount and then turn around and use Fantastico. This is unimaginable!

We like to think of it as giving a good reason for customers to use us instead of just using Fantastico.

Wordpress is easy to install.

But how many people know how to install ANY script, no matter how easy it is? I see people's eye glaze over when I start to show them what to do when they ask me for help.

You start by mentioning FTP and file permissions and within seconds they are asking me how much it would cost for me to do it for them. As an installer of Wordpress, you will never be out of a job, unless you choose to. The market is WIDE OPEN for installation of blogs because of the customization that almost everyone requests.

I get many of my clients from self installations that went horribly wrong because they did not follow one single step. Or worse, they used the one click installation and someone hacked their website within 24 hours of the installation because they didn't think to use a strong password.

Offering a discount is a good idea, but you are hurting yourself by offering it for free. If you have a strong backend to your business, however, then your offer is a very good one.

Thanks for opening this dialog,

Fantastico makes installations easy... for hackers. When you install anything with Fantastico, you are making it possible for hackers to take over your installation.

You are doing a major disservice to your customers by offering them that discount if you are going to use Fantastico to install their software in the first place. Now if you install using the manual method anyway, you are being very kind to your customers.

Fantastico does one thing that makes it WAY too insecure to be used to install anything important. It uses the same database username and database name for every installation. This, coupled with the fact that way to many users choose very easy to remember passwords and this is just asking hackers to take over that installation.

I offer a free report on how to fix the vulnerability on my website.

Thanks,
